Hair Care Tips for Women: Healthy Hair, Strong Hair, Beautiful Hair in Just 30 Days!

Chalking out a month long regimen from drab to fab.

You need to understand your hair – its nature, and what it really needs. Once you do that caring becomes easy. Break down hair care into a monthly regimen and stick to it regardless of any distractions. Here’s a monthly calendar for hair care resolutions that could help you find enduringly beautiful locks.

Resolution One: Shampoo Your Hair Regularly- Wash your hair with shampoo approximately about 4 times a week. Regular shampooing is a must because your scalp secrets sebum (The oily secretion of the sebaceous glands) everyday; which makes it oily and attracts grime. Use a shampoo that suites your hair type.

Resolution Two: Give Your Hair An Oil Massage- An oil message once a week is great way to restore your hair’s health. Use warm olive, almond, or coconut oil for a hair massage. One tablespoon of warm oil is enough for the massage then shampoo it off within an hour. Contrary to popular believe, lots of oil kept on overnight on the hair or for hours at length does not provide any extra benefits.

Resolution Three: Use A Hair Pack- We’re used to the practice of slathering an over-counter face pack every now and then to rejuvenate facial skin. The same benefits apply to see your hair as well. Use a hair pack once a week to repair and rejuvenate your hair. Keep the hair pack on for 10 minutes or 20 minutes if your hair is greasy and the rinse it off with warm water. Generally, dry hair tends to look frizzy after a wash, even after using conditioner. If you have dry hair then use hair serums for glossy and lustrous look.

Resolution Four: Use Hair Serum- As said in the last point, it is good to use hair serum, especially if you have dry hair. Apply coin-sized amount of non-greasy hair serum after shampooing and conditioning. A hair serum helps to lock the moisture into the cuticle layer.

Resolution Five: Trim Your Hair- the ends of your hair at least a couple of years old! Yes, it’s true – if you have long hair. Most women with long hair may not realise that the ends of their hair could have been that much old! Old hair tends to look frayed and develops unsightly slit ends, which can totally detract from its overall appearance. Trim your hair once a month. Clipping the edges of your hair once every 25 to 30 days would help you to maintain a hairstyle.

Resolution Six: Treat Your Hair to a Monthly Spa Experience- This is a wake up call for those who have put their hair through the wringer even once! Perms, straightening, ironing, and colouring can cause irreversible thermal damage to your hair. This doesn’t mean that you should stop; it means you need to look out for your hair some more.
Give your hair a spa treatment once a month to reverse or at least nullify the effects of over-processing and chemical treatments. This is a 30 minutes treatment that strengthens the cuticles (the outer layer) of your hair.

This is a researched article written especially for women. Go through these techniques and you will be benefited. Of course, it’s always good to consult with your hairdresser before applying any techniques.

A healthy lifestyle will mean healthier hair for you. Excessive stress, smoking, not exercising and not eating nutritiously are not healthy for your hair.

Stress can secrete a hormone called cortisol which triggers fat build up inside the stomach. The organs that will be affected by it are the ones located at the abdominal cavity. In order to avoid this, you need to handle your daily issues accordingly and don’t give in with the pressure. Engage in stress relieving activities such as yoga, listening to music or have a vacation once in a while.
